Scott Stone on optimism in times of crises

Meet Scott Stone, founder and CEO of Lookfar Conservation, and a long term consultant and friend of DOB Ecology.

As most of you know, Scott has worked closely with DOB Ecology since its inception in 2016 and remains a close partner. Maas talks to Scott about his reasons for a little optimism in times of crises.

Lookfar Conservation is an NGO that supports local conservation and restoration NGOs in Latin America and Sub-Saharan Africa. Lookfar works on co-developing projects that deliver clear and lasting benefits for the environment and surrounding communities.

To achieve this, Lookfar focuses on topics that are best suited for the partner and the program at hand. This can be project design with the partner from the start, or it can mean identifying grant funding opportunities, or looking into alternative revenue streams and helping with business models for social enterprises. Lookfar believes in the use of data technologies and provides support in finding the right tools to monitor progress and verify success. Finally, Lookfar loves to bring the stories from the field to a wider audience. By raising awareness and sharing accomplishments, it aims to inspire greater ambition and action.
